It's time to prepare for next year’s sailing season.

Now that the sailing season is winding down or has wound down for most of us its time to think about boat maintenance. Help preserve your Corsair trimaran's gel coat by giving it a thorough waxing and buffing. This protects the gel coat from further deterioration (oxidization) and will pay dividends when eventually (perish the thought) its time to sell your boat. Also take the time to “winterize” your Corsair trimaran's motor--which at the very least means flushing out any residual salt water... Read More »

Both the Corsair 31 trimaran and the desirable Ferraris are works of art. With designs that emanate passion for racing, perfection and power. WOW! The Corsair Sprint 750 MK II Built to Last

Multihull vs Monohull Advantages

What are the key differences between catamarans and trimarans? Here are the basics: Level Sailing The most noticeable thing about sailing a catamaran or trimaran vs a traditional monohull is the lack of heeling. Even when powered up, a cat or tri will rarely heel more than 5-10 degrees before it’s time to reef. Gone are the days of bracing yourself in the cockpit, and living your life underway at 20+ degrees of angle. It’s a much more relaxing and convenient way to sail. No question about that.... We finally agreed on the boat's name, "Amihan", which is the season dominated by the trade winds, which are experienced in the Philippines as a cool northeast wind. Thanks for the great boat, Corsair! Mike and Manette Kirkpatrick Read More »
